Todd Connor Bunker Labs’ CEO on The Brand Lab Series™ Ep 3

The Bunker Labs CEO Todd Connor is today’s special guest on Episode 003 of The Brand Lab Series™ Podcast. Your host Brian Walker interviews Todd Connor on how the Bunker Labs is appealing to young military veterans by providing a network of support to help them grow their businesses. With rich programming, a thriving network, and a brand that is bigger than just a marketing function, the Bunker Labs has been able to rapidly grow into a national brand.

According to Todd, in order to grow a business, you have to be able to “fail fast…It’s not taking risks, it’s necessary learning.” Failure is not a word that these ambitious, high achieving individuals hear often. but the need for speed in start-up environments pushes these veteran entrepreneurs to take the necessary risks to keep moving forward. In order to become a national brand, you can’t just sit around and strategically plan for it, you get out there and try it and see if it works.

The Bunker Labs is a not-for-profit organization that serves as a network for military veterans and citizens to facilitate entrepreneurship. The goal is to answer the questions, “What does a young military veteran need today?” Todd believes that the standard for this is what would he want from an organization. By following, observing, learning and listening, the Bunker Labs has been able to refine their model into being more specifically built for who they are and what they need.

Todd and Brian agree that in taking big steps forward, the best way is to learn and find your growth strategy. Veterans are not just a population in need, they are high achieving, ambitious individuals that just need a space to help grow their businesses. The Bunker Labs has created a chapter model that is spreading all over the place to reach veterans and citizens who can work together to build businesses and economic growth.
